Topic: [SOLVED] Sound not working Compaq CQ61 Statler

EDIT: Erm, sorry, this can be deleted. I had PCM muted for some bizarre reason. It's 3AM, my mind doesn't work at this time of night.

I've been running Statler for about a month without any major problems. Anyway, came home from work this evening and the sound isn't working. Nothing. It's fine in Ubuntu so it's definitely not the hardware. In alsamixer/alsamixergui everything looks fine.
I'm using a Compaq CQ61. ALSA version is 1.0.24 so there's nothing to upgrade it to.
"aplay -l lists audio devices" gives me this:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
benji@crunchie:~$ aplay -l lists audio devices
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: STAC92xx Analog [STAC92xx Analog]
  Subdevices: 0/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I added this to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf and reloaded ALSA but to no avail. I tried looking at the docs to find out what I should put for the model options but I couldn't find anything. This is what I've added to it, I have no idea if any of it is correct:

options snd slots=snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv5
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1

I've had a look through the forums and I'm a bit lost, I don't really know where to go from here. Any help is really, really appreciated!
