Topic: Hello everyone!

I'm fairly new to Linux and started out with ubuntu about a year ago. I've tried many distros since, and when looking for a light-weight one I came across #!. I enjoy using and customising #!, I feel a bit overwhelmed by the options Linux has to offer since I've been trying to put together my own light vm's, but I'm having fun and learning new things everyday. The forums here have been very helpful, and I'm planning to use #! as my main os. If I can't find an answer for something here, I hope a few noob questions won't bother you guys. wink

Noob is good.  Take your time learning Linux.  There's plenty of time and plenty of Linux.  wink

Hey there User77, it's good to have you aboard. ^_^

I must interject and say that I too am very new to Linux, and my inane and intrepidly stupid questioning hasn't made anyone say ANYTHING at all in a harsh manner, nor are they hinting at getting sick of me.... Or anything, really!!

These guys are sooooo good, and I'm pretty sure I've pushed them quite above and beyond, and no ruse what-so-ever has come from it.

Seriously, as far as I'm concerned, this forum is awesome!!

You seem like a cheerful, articulate and friendly person. So I can't imagine a reason in the whole world why we'd have an issue with you. ^_^

So, do make yourself at home, and feel free to sample some of the offerings of prawns and Italian red wine. : D

definitely +1 to all that has been said.  The #! community is very strong, knowledgeable, and  welcoming.  the fact that you have found and installed #! has taken you to the next step past noobiness.  You, as have I, will learn a lot just by tweaking and configuring it to your liking.

Oh, and yeah, just tweaking and tinkering is the way. Going at your own slow and steady pace. Little by little, bit by bit, you're goin' to feel your way through all the little niggly details. Hell, it'll probably take years, but it will be smooth and feel nice as you gain in your understanding.

Just don't think so much about it, okay?

It's probably a lot like taking a poop......

If you strain too much, you're just goin' to hurt yourself, so it's better to just let it all fall out of you. Though, if you want to rush things, you can push a little bit. XD
