Topic: Hello im new here !!

#! is sick so far im running from live usb and crunchbang is by far the coolest and straight forward linux distro im glade i found this. Anybody have any suggestions on what i should play around with iv been trying to get away from microsoft for awhile no and i think i may have found my way out!!

well iv always been interested in Linux because honestly i think os's should be free and also im into command line type environments. im a beginning python programmer and i just love computers in general

Is it a USB drive?  I've had similar GRUB errors with Dell's Passport and myBook USB drives...eventually got the passport working as a bootable drive, but I can't remember how.  You might need to create a new partition table with gParted, which of course make all data on the drive unavailable by any means other than low-level data recovery...make sure you backup first.
