Topic: The Hunt for perfection may be over.

Hello!

My name is Teodor and I've gone trough a lot of Linux distros the last 2 months. Most other distros always have something that stops me from using them, but what I've seen so far from #!  is fantastic. Burning it onto a disk now and can't wait to try it out.

What I look forward to the configuration of the whole system. I love making everything just right and I hate it when I can't do that. I think that's it for now, but you will be seeing me around the forums.

Kind regards,
Teodor

Hiya Teodor ...

Agree #! is gnu/linuxy goodness of the highest magnitude. Of course hope you continue enjoying Corenominal's handywork and save some time avoiding the dreaded ( though who are we kidding ? .... Alot of fun at times.) distrohop. wink

Some common cbiz abbreviations. This will save me time and yet @ same time tell folks what the babble is supposed to mean.

Vll ! = ( Viva la gnu/Linux !)    Vl#!! = ( Viva la #! !)    Last but not least, UD ... OD ! = ( Use Debian ... or die !) tongue

I did not get that, could you please say it again X3 (Feeling like I'm a total noob)

and wow this is a friendly community. I might stay just because of the fast and friendly response :)

Re: The Hunt for perfection may be over.

Lmao ...

No worries, I'm the resident babbler it seems. Am sure you'll like #! ... welcome to the forum. Newb thing, also don't think it's anything to worry much about. Am still newbish meself. Would bet money people like Linus Torvalds still learn new stuff about gnu/Linux all the time.

Hmmm interesting factoid ....

Gnu = ( gnu not unix ) buncha software packages people made. Big part of where opensource got it's start.
Linux = ( Started out as the kernel of the OS we're all using.) Invented by a dood named Linus Torvalds.

Did mention I babble a bit.  wink

I know that, but the thing about distrohop, I didn't know.

Welcome to #! You will want to check out the distro-hoppers anonymous thread. smile

Re: The Hunt for perfection may be over.

You are certainly very welcome to #! RedMood, and yes your hunt is over. #! is as perfect as perfection
gets. Might be that you may have to fix a thing or too, but that is the case with all of them. There are those that are not fixable too. No names of course, might upset some people, and here in the #! realm rules niceness. Have fun!

#!, all else is but a shadow!
