Re: #! Metalheads

I'm not much of a metalhead (although I've the right hair cut). smile
But I love Slayer and Black Sabbath... and Napalm Death... and Wolves in the Throne Room... and Sunn 0)))...

Re: #! Metalheads

I love my metal, my favourite band is Meshuggah, after that I couldn't decide.  There is too much amazing metal music out there to even begin.

I have been quite partial to quite a bit of Helheim from Norway lately though.

Re: #! Metalheads

Subscribe!!!
I'm here... I listen to all the Rcok/metal scene, from the 70s to the death and black.

By the Way, my favorite sub-genre is Prog Rock/Metal smile

Re: #! Metalheads

I have listened metal music as long as I can remember.. mostly death, thrash and black metal.

Some bands I like

Slayer (thrash metal, usa)
Horna (black metal, finland)
Tukkanuotta (death metal, finland)

ffwn

Re: #! Metalheads

There's usually pretty good music on death.fm. One of my favorite bands right now is hate. The first brain drill album was really cool too if anyone wants to check it out, the drummer is one of the best in the world IMO.

Re: #! Metalheads

Cool!! Cruncheadbangers cool

Some good Scottish Pirate Metal, and my favourite one Alestorm, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=achODZe5JWI

I can't getting bored to listen over and over again, Carcass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_xs1OHafBI

I'm glad you like it mate. Actually both of them are same genre, folk metal but Alestorm's themes are pirates, seas, mythology, beers etc and Korpiklaani's forests, beers, vodkas, mythology and etc. big_smile Same o' same.

Pancakes
1 cup all-purpose flour, 2 eggs, 1 cup of  milk, 3 tbs water, 1-2 tsp of vanilla extract, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 apple, few grains of salt
Preheat your pan or griddle to about medium heat. Slowly combine the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, work in sliced apple. Each pancake should take about a minute or so on each side. Serve with plum jam, maple syrup, or powdered sugar

Re: #! Metalheads

Symphony X anyone? cool

Also, does Black Sabbath still count as Metal, or has it been relegated to Classic Rock?  IMO Sabbath was one of the most musical Metal bands of all time, writing songs on the Mozart principle: remove one note and the phrase falls apart; add one note and it collapses under the weight.

Re: #! Metalheads

What about  a bit of Death?? Suffocation and the Kings of Death Metal, Immolation?

Re: #! Metalheads

@pvsage

I'm not get along with symphonic metal but i really love prog. metal like Savatage (not Transsiberian) but Symphony X rocks! Savatage is number 1 for me heheheh big_smile

Black Sabbath counts many, such as stoner rock/metal, classic rock, heavy metal etc. Iommi, one of the best guitarist alive, removed a note, and it is called devil's chords in his term. smile

@MattDobson

Death = Death big_smile But Carcass's death time was amazing. Obituary, Vader, and Opeth. Btw , Schuldiner says it's metal dammit! Rip.

Re: #! Metalheads

Opeth FTW!  I think Opeth is to Sabbath as Richard Wagner is to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  (I wonder who could be considered the Leopold Mozart of Metal.  I've played Leopold's Concerto for Trumpet...very not bad.)

No offense intended, but IMHO Savatage is the Salieri of Metal. tongue

Mate, some of Carcass' albums are my all time favourite albums, they were a unique band.

Re: #! Metalheads

Carcass and Meshuggah are often credited with inspiring the whole grindcore movement.

Re: #! Metalheads

Meshuggah?? Don't you mean bands like Napalm Death and Terrorizor?  Meshuggah are the furtherest thing away from Grindcore.

Waoow, thanks mate. I'm using grooveshark, not a radio but it's radio is great to find new bands to listen. And i'm an old di.fm listener. Especially it's vocal trance radio (i know subject is metal) is great. I recorded over 10 hours of it.
