Topic: possible replacement for Tgif

Again, what it says on the tin.  I love what I'm able to do with Tgif, but its interface is kinda fugly, and it has quite a few "quirks", so I'm trying to find something else that's lightweight and has similar capabilities.  It would also be nice if it's something in the Debian Squeeze repos and produces really small vector files when printing to PDF.

The Tgif developers have been kind enough to offer a list of alternatives at their own website.  Dia seems to meet all my criteria, but I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with Dia or could recommend any other alternatives.

Have any luck with this yet?

Re: possible replacement for Tgif

TBH, RL has been keeping me from experimenting with software the past couple weeks.  Maybe I'll be able to find time this weekend.  Thanks for the bump though!

Re: possible replacement for Tgif

I just installed Dia...looks somewhat promising, with an interface similar to Inkscape with a reduced feature set.  Will take a bit of getting used to...
