Topic: #! on a ZaReason Alto 3880 laptop
From time to time, I get to test and review hardware for ZaReason in Berkeley, California (just up the road a bit from me, so to speak), and they gave me two laptops to put through their paces. While my daughter absconded with the more powerful of the two for the moment, I currently have CrunchBang running on an Alto 3880 and it's fantastic. I'll be writing about it when I'm through with the hardware and have to send it back *sniff* in about a week.
Here are the specs, if anyone is interested:

Plug for ZaReason: If you're thinking about buying hardware that is Linux-based, these guys do a good job. They're family owned and operated -- Earl Malmrose is the CTO, Cathy Malmrose is the CEO and the kids, now teenagers, do some of the testing -- and their hardware is top-notch. If I'm not mistaken, they have an office in Germany to handle European orders.
