Topic: Adding keyboard shortcuts to the new #! releases rc.xml.

Ok so you have waited long n hard with baited breath for Corenominal to release more awesome crunchiness ... AND THEN ... it happens ! Everybodies excited. big_smile

Ok now you may just be used to selecting rc.xml in the main menu, adding keyboard shortcuts and enjoying the smoothness of your kickbutt crunchbang operating system as usual, so you add some keyboard shortcuts AND this time ... nuttin. sad

Fear not fearless crunchbangers ... Here's the fix.

Open a terminal and type ...

gksu geany /home/yourusername/.config/openbox/rc.xml

The file you want opens with sudo privileges, add the shortcuts you like, save the file and ... done. Select restart or reconfigure in Openbox Config. Now you can get back to enjoying your kickbutt crunchbang operating system per usual. wink

PS, Afterthought babble edit:

Well this is one way, same also applies to autostart. People can find it in the same folder/directory as the rc.xml file. If you know a better way to go about doing this in the latest #! iso, by all means share. wink

Some common cbiz abbreviations. This will save me time and yet @ same time tell folks what the babble is supposed to mean.

Vll ! = ( Viva la gnu/Linux !)    Vl#!! = ( Viva la #! !)    Last but not least, UD ... OD ! = ( Use Debian ... or die !) tongue
