Topic: Wireless not working

Just did a fresh install today, and like many linux distros I put on my netbook, I have no wireless.  I have always dealt with Fedora based distros, so APT is new to me, and I need to figure out how to install the proper driver.

I am running Statler on and Asus EeePC 1015PX and I need a driver for BCM4313. Thanks in advance!

Re: Wireless not working

http://wiki.debian.org/bcm43xx this should help, although I don't see 4313 there. The issue is that older broadcom device's firmware is non-free, and doesn't install by itself it that way.

Oops -- my response wasn't for testing nor unstable.  Sorry.  neutral

My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.

Re: Wireless not working

My bad, I posted this under the wrong section. It should be under stable. I'll try those steps on the debian wiki.

^ In that case I'll put this back up.  lol

/moved. wink

while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );

Re: Wireless not working

As far as I know this driver is supported under Squeeze, just search for it in Synaptic. #! Statler has also enabled already the non-free Debian repo.

I see @dubois already put the right link.
