Topic: Kernel 3.2, Eeepc and Jupiter

I have #! on my Eeepc 1001p netbook, It works amazingly and with the help of Jupiter I get fantastic battery life. Since upgrading to Linux kernel 3.2 the eee-pc support module does not load. I also had to add 3.2 to the list of kernels in /usr/sbin/laptop_mode so laptop-mode starts without error but not sure if this hack is any good.

Is there anything really great in kernel 3.2 that I would want to keep it at the expense of my netbooks battery life?

Is there anything that Jupiter and the eee-pc support modules do that Handran's power saving script script doesn't cover?
