Topic: Three year old crunchbanger

He can't read very well yet, and he's far from writing anything, but my 3 year old can happily login, fire up scrotwm, open a browser and find himself some flash games to play like a true pro.

He looks good in the logo'd threads too...

LMAO. lol ... Awesome !

Some common cbiz abbreviations. This will save me time and yet @ same time tell folks what the babble is supposed to mean.

Vll ! = ( Viva la gnu/Linux !)    Vl#!! = ( Viva la #! !)    Last but not least, UD ... OD ! = ( Use Debian ... or die !) tongue

My formula for living is quite simple. I get up in the morning and I go to bed at night. In between, I occupy myself as best I can.

Ok, that he is a #!'er now but firing up scrotwm, he really has balls. big_smile

That's awesome! My son is 2 1/2, as soon as he is able he will be using Linux/BSD and going straight to CLI!

Next year you've got to get him into shellcode..

Re: Three year old crunchbanger

Excellent. That beats my daughter who, under my watchful eye, installed Debian on a laptop she inherited when she was 8. Love the jacket, too.

Re: Three year old crunchbanger

^ She installed Debian, man, she is a real woman. smile

Re: Three year old crunchbanger

It's great to watch kids work things out on computers, or FOSS programs especially. Of course, I explained each step of the install to my daughter and she clicked yes or no or typed in what she needed to type in, but she "got" it. Of course, now at 14 she's an Ubuntu user (10.04 LTS) by her own choice, and Dad's OK with that. smile

Forthy's boy is a lucky kid -- he'll be ahead of the curve thanks to Dad's choice of distro smile

Yes, but they are two completely different programs, scrotwm's name was meant more as a joke and not a reference to the scrot screenshot program, just pronounce the "w" as a "u"

Re: Three year old crunchbanger

I'm going to bump this thread to let you all know that between my three year old and I we have managed to convince my wife too.

She just bought a new laptop, got it home, switched it on, messed with it for less than an hour before coming in to the kitchen and saying to me: "Windows needs to come off that, can you make it exactly like yours please?"

Another #! install coming up!

Re: Three year old crunchbanger

I'm reading only now ! Nice #! family smile

Back home with #! ... Tired of fighting daemons in another distro smile
excuse for my bad english ...
