Re: w007!!

I always wanted a Cyrix. Me loves old hardware smile What are you going to use it for?

Re: w007!!

Not a clue, I just wanted to get it to work.

It's rated 333MHz, but Linux sees it only as 250, which is roughly what rating it ACTUALLY is, compared to an equivalent Intel.

I've just installed irssi on it, so I might use it for an irssi slave. Or maybe rtorrent slave, I don't know yet.

For some reason, every time I try and apt-get install something, it fails the first time and I need to apt-get it again. Works the second time, so who knows, it might even just be a dodgy ethernet card in it.

i doubt it though, it's a 3com, a proper one at that.

It could be the operator is shorted! big_smile

I view KDE like I view snow. It looks fun and marvelous, it's fun to play in, but after a while I just want someone to take it all away.

Re: w007!!

Possibly.

I've had a LOT of problems installing anything other than Windows on this (and as we all know, Windows will ignore any problems with a computer unless they physically stop the machine from working, something I do like about it)
