Topic: Hey all!

Been using #! for two days now, having had only two minor issues that have needed fixing. Insanely pleased!
#! has really hit my sweet spot; right between Arch and Ubuntu big_smile Looking forward to watching this grow.

I like that description! "The sweet spot right between Arch and Ubuntu." I've never tried Arch (because their web site says it ain't really for a newbie), but from what I hear it's a build-your-own Linux. Sounds awesome - when I'm ready for that. I came here from Ubuntu when I was looking for a "lightweight Ubuntu" and found my way here. It's awesome!

Well, Arch might not be for the CLI impaired, but it's not that hard either. You just have to be prepared to do alot of reading, so progress (through trial&error) can be slow.

It essentially is a build-your-own distro. Though it's nowhere near compiling your own kernel (Linux From Scratch, anyone? smile), as far as the "being forced to get to know your system"-argument goes.

What ultimately made me nuke my Arch in favor of #! was apt. I just love it. Pacman's very nice actually, but the sheer sizeof the Ubuntu repos is beautiful. And I happen to like the kernel smile I'm pretty confident I'll be staying with #!.
