Topic: How do you say...

...xubuntu?

I liked the thread about how people say "sudo" so I hijacked the idea. I've always wanted to know if I am saying xubuntu correctly...if there is a "right" way.

Ideas:
1. tzu-buntu
2. x-ubuntu

I doubt it's right way either but I don't think it's that big deal. tongue

I use the tsu-buntu pronunciation or my gf calls it mousey because the xfce mouse lol

(Some people pronounce "Ubuntu" as "You-bun-too" and that really bugs me)

Zoobuntu is how I pronounce it now but I used to pronounce it x-ubuntu.

I also have a bad habit of saying ubuntu as "oo - bun - too" instead of "oo - boon - too".

Same, though I'm getting better at that one.  I still mispronounce line-ucks as lynn-ucks and I didn't see the sudo thread but for me it's like "Sue do."  As for Xubuntu, I normally say "Zoo-bun-too"

I always thought that Linux was pronounced "Lynn ix", with the i pronounced like the "i" in "print", and an "ix" ending instead of an "ucks".

Zoo-bun-too, i can never pronouce it oo-boon-to, i always say oo-bun-to, so i guess im stuck with that tongue.
I also get annoyed with people who pronouce it you-bun-to or you-boon-to. Linux to me is = Lin-ex. Lie-nucks always annoys me.
Sudo = sue-doe.
