Yah, new forum update.
Quick suggestion: Can we have it only on the search page?
I don't think we really need it on every page. 
Just IMO, of course, YMMV

Regarding having it on every page, personally I think it makes complete sense, especially now that the forums are growing. There is a huge wealth of information here and I think having the search box on every page will hopefully encourage people to search for it. I know I will find it handy! Having said that, I am interested know what other people think?
That's a fair point that I thought of after posting. IDK, I could always write myself a javascript script to remove it from everywhere but the search page, since that's the functionality I would use, yet it leaves it there for most.

I really should learn to code, so i can do productive things, even if they seem unproductive to most of society.
Looks like a nice addition. Especially for some of the old support threads that I need now and then to offer support. If it wasn't for anonymous maintaining the Quick Reference thread, I'd be completely lost
Agreed, yourself and anonymous are doing a fantastic job with that thread. Seeing as there is space immediately to the right of the new search box, do you think it would be a good idea to have a link to that thread?

I must take no credit for that thread. Anonymous maintains it exclusively now and it is far more useful than my original effort

IMO: Good idea for every page...never know when curiosity will strike!
IMO having top links for the Quick Reference thread and possibly the The Official (Er, Semi-Official) How-To Master List would be a good idea. They both have a lot of information and should be more visible.

Im sort of amazed at how many times I will do a normal google search for something not #! specific, and the top listings will be on the #! forums.

Nice work I think these links will be very handy and fit in well in that area
My only suggestion would be to increase the space between them like the ones below (New Posts etc)

Just playing at the moment. I am testing in numerous browsers and some are displaying a black line under the icons?! Seems to work okay in Firefox 3.5. Hmm.
