Topic: #! 9.04 freezing under VBox when downloading packages

I haven't had the chance to test the liveCD of #! 9.04 on my laptop yet, but I've run it in VirtualBox here at work on XP. It runs fine, however if I try to do a system update or install anything major via apt-get or synaptic, it freezes up part way through the download and I have to shut the VM down. I've repeated this several times and it does it consistently. Is there some issue with connectivity? I was going to put it down to the servers but I'm not sure why the thing would just freeze. It doesn't appear that the connection is lost, it just freezes the system completely.

I'm going to try and download a fresh copy at home and try it out there, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had the same experience.

1. Try changing the default server.

2. Try reloading your sources.list before installing any packages.
