Topic: [SOLVED] Murrina Theme console error message

I'm using the MurrinaPoL (or MurrinaLooks Glossy) theme on my desktop (screenshot) but I get constant errors like this in Terminator (when I run Gedit, for instance):

Murrine configuration option "highlight_ratio" will be deprecated in future releases. Please use "highlight_shade" instead.

I search a lot, found what I believe is the theme homepage here:

http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ … tent=64609

and a Launchpad bug posting here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/345417

among many other references to the problem, but no solution I could follow. I know now the problem is not critical, but it really gets annoying after a while, so I'd appreciate any help. TIA

Re: [SOLVED] Murrina Theme console error message

You could fix this by opening the GTK theme file and replacing references to "highlight_ratio" with "highlight_shade". Once you have done that, simply reapply the theme via "Preferences -> User Interface Settings" in Openbox's main menu. I had similar warnings with the CrunchBang themes when I moved them from 8.10.xx to 9.04.xx. Hope this helps. smile

Gee, thanks for the hint, master corenominal.

I'm really sorry, I guess I had a really deep blond moment there -- I thought of what you told me beforehand, I did, I did, but never followed the path laid in front of me, so I was searching like crazy, and not finding what was already there. I'm sorry, again. Guess we'll both reboot now, me and the 'puter, and see how it goes... yikes

EDIT: that nailed it... no question about, still a noob.
