Topic: Kyte cant post so.. He needs some help with this..

This is a message Kyte sent me..

This is just strange... I hope it isn't because, as with another forum member, Yahoo ATE FIREFOX!!

But.... Firefox has lost my favourites, the history is still there, and I can't use the Google Search Bar.

I can open history and click an link and go there, but that is all.

My password for my ISP mail is still there because the ISP mail kept it, but when I go to #! I have to log in each time even though I say to keep the login.  #! keeps the login information but FF doesn't.

Also.. the whole Firefox interface seems....well......different.... it seems like it is missing...depth...as it were in the appearance.

I tried removing it, and apt-get said it was also going to remove Sun-Java6-plugin, and then reinstalled using apt-get but still the same strange behaviour.

Also...preview topic doesn't work.. hmmmm back arrow doesn't work..

also can't post topic so I'm sending it to you thought maybe you might post it...hmmm

I was fiddling with conky and got rhythmbox titles enabled and also got g-mail enabled in it... did a lot of fiddling with stuff, python scripts and other... kind of hit and miss... maybe...I shot an HIT THE WRONG THING!

I work with K-meleon (fork or instance of Firefox) and my bookmarks are gone too. Misteriously.

I swiched to Opera.

So, I don't want to urge you.  On the other hand, my wife use Firefox and she's quite happy with it.

Try, decide..

Thanks for the repost of my message, as outlined elsewhere FF started, later, to come back and I did the new profile as Anon suggested and everything seems comfy again.

Thanks again, and if you or a mod wishes to remove this thread that would be fine with me.
