Topic: YSFlight

Just found it. Runs better than flightgear on my mini9 and has COMBAT! (plus its free big_smile ) I have enjoyed wasting some time on it lately. Was wondering if anyone else has/had the game and thoughts on it?

Re: YSFlight

Thought I'd give it a try, runs really nice on an EEE pc 701, love the way it makes you black out if you pull 15g's. can't find any bad guys to shoot though? have to have a play in the menu's..

Re: YSFlight

Yea. If you go to File-->Load you can run through the directories to find a mission. Theres a ton of addons out there too.

Re: YSFlight

Ahhh ok Ill give that a try, never thought to load because I hadnt saved anything, I found it runs really smoothly on my eee but somtimes it will just freeze for 5 second or so but the flight seems to continue so I find myself in pieces on the pavement...

i was once in a carrier because of that lol

Running on lower graphics helps, but sometimes, when i do a sudden roll, i will still freeze briefly like described sad

Re: YSFlight

How do you install this? I downloaded the ystflight.tar.gz from the ysflight site?

You also need the ubuntu install files from the same site ysflight-ubuntu.tar.gz

Now right click and extract the ysflight.tar.gz file which makes a folder called ysflight

Then extract the file called ysflight-ubuntu.tar.gz this has 2 files in it that need to be cut and pasted into the ysflight folder, replacing the existing files

no need to install, no dependencies needed, just open up the ysflight folder and execute the file ysflight

Hope this helps smile
