Topic: Nerolinux-3.5.3.1-x86.rpm

Dear All, Has anyone downloaded and used the free trial version of Nerolinux? I have tried it and it does everything you could imagine with cd,svcd, dvd. It costs £13;99 to purchase. But as I have already got the most up to date version on my windows drive I will not do so. It is an option for those serious about the usage of such programs.
I have installed Thunderbird email successfully and its a joy to use, I tried to install Openoffice 3, but it will not work! perhaps its the wrong package, it appears in system package manager with all parts with green squares! but Terminal says I need to install manually! I can not find any way to do this? again anyone able to comment or help would be appreciated. My thoughts are that Openoffice should be found as a download within the CrunchBang distro as an option or at the crunch bang download extras sites.
I rate CrunchBang Linux as the best disto ever! it is virtually faultless, Claws email lets it down for its lack of luster compared to Thunderbird.  Congrtulations for such a good Distro Thanks to all those who have worked so hard to produce it. Fantastic!!

Re: Nerolinux-3.5.3.1-x86.rpm

How did you try to install OpenOffice? I would use this PPA:

https://launchpad.net/~openoffice-pkgs/+archive/ppa

BTW if you wish to contact me, send me an e-mail instead of a PM.

Re: Nerolinux-3.5.3.1-x86.rpm

Anonymous,

is this PPA for OOo 3.1.1. or GO-OO 3.1.1. ?
Default Ubuntu comes with GO-OO, because of that I'm asking..

Regards!

Thanks to all, Pghjake, Igorp, anonymous, Yes the solution was to download  go.oo a small file that made  Openoffice work perfectly. this was for CrunchBang . Igorp hit it right on the nail! Thanks again,  Peter
