Topic: CrunchBang Linux 8.04.02 Known Issues

A list of some known issues with the CrunchBang Linux 8.04.02 release. This post will remain sticky and I will try to update it as and when any new issues arise:

94% installer bug
Some users have reported the installer seems to hang at 94%, before continuing and completing the installation. I have not experienced this myself, but I am assured the installation itself is not affected, apart from the user having to wait some additional minutes during the "configuring hardware" stage.

Post GDM login lag
Some users have reported slowness after the GDM login screen. This could be caused by the GDM post login script, which is used to set-up accounts for users with separate home partitions. Once your user account is set-up, this script is not really needed and is safe to remove/rename. Use the following command:

sudo mv /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default /etc/gdm/PostLogin/Default.crunchbang
