Topic: 9.10 unofficial .iso - one small hangup
Funny Background
I almost turned my mini 9 into a hackintosh, except that it had the HP mini EFI so without the usb it was a complete failure. So I installed the 9.10 beta I had hanging around as a quick "oh $%*& I need my computer for school...like now." And now that I have 300MB of updates done (what!!!?!?!) I want to come back to #!, but I am torn between the pretties of 9.10, the speed of its bootup, and the cloud (workaround now exists thx to phillip).
The Issue
I installed 9.10 minimal in a Virtual Machine, ran the #! script and okay, all done. It wont load openbox because it cant get the DISPLAY parameter - whatever that means. Its okay because I can get cli from booting in safe mode, which is all i technically need. The problem is that I want to make a .iso from the virtual machine, but remastersys has a casper dependency and a something else dependency that arent up to date with 9.10 and therefore apt-get says they cant be resolved, even with apt-get --force-yes install. So I was looking for some help with a way to make a .iso from the system that way we could at least have a 9.10 unofficial download for us impatient immature kids who love #! like the proverbial fat kid loves cake ![]()
