Topic: #! in last.fm
I had nothing better to do so I created a #! group in last.fm (after little search I'm pretty sure there wasn't one yet).

Nice one Hanna, joined.
Strangely, you are the first person I have ever come across with a musical compatibility of "Very High". ![]()

Haven't used Last.fm since I don't know when, a long time ago, and I must say it rules!
*is very happy group leader*
i am in as well, although I use Pandora more for my music. I have never really used the streaming functions from last.fm. I guess that I will put that on my list.
Michael
I use Last.fm and Rhythmbox so i joined the group too
Love last.fm, have joined the group as well. ![]()
in yes, music lovers should check out "spotify", it is the future............
Joined the group, sorry but have to say #! may be a great distro but you've all got rubbish taste in music ![]()
well that depends on the taste.........super.rad
Yeah, of course I joined. Haven't used LastFM much lately and I use mostly MPD for listening (I don't think MPD frontends have this "submit to lastfm" feature), but occasionally I check with Last-Exit if there's something interesting on LastFM from some artist whose work I'm not familiar with... Before Christmas I also had some use for Christmas Radio (hehe).

Actually there is some script that submits via Last.fm, I believe. Google around for it.

You're right. I was just about to add (came back here to do that) that there are more than one, since I began to doubt my own judgement. Just installed lastfmsubmitd.
I usually use sonata as a MPD frontend which can submit tracks to last.fm
Hmm... I keep getting
lastfmsubmitd: no account info found; exitingeven though I'm sure my /etc/lastfmsubmitd.conf contains the correct information. Weird...
P.S. Since I could not figure out why this happens (a bug?), I just removed lastfmsubmitd and installed mpdscribble. Which works perfectly, as it seems.

I use lastfmsubmitd with mocp and it works. Which group do you use for lastfmsubmitd and are you a member of this group? I use the group "audio", so everyone who can play audio on my system (it's just me) can use lastfmsubmitd....but, yes, you can use mpdscribble for this, too.
I got mocp scrobbling too, though it took some trial-and-error ![]()
also got it running in conky now, will post scripts tomorrow
off to bed now
