Topic: Window manager theme vs GTK theme

(mods, please move this to another subforum if you see fit!)

I'm still getting my head round having to choose a theme in two different places, but if I've got it right you choose a window manager theme for the borders, title  and other decorations, and GTK theme for stuff that goes inside the window: scrollbars and the like. Obconf for the wm stuff, and lxappearance for the GTK stuff.

Is that right?
Any hints on finding good themes that go with each other, or do you just have to suck it and see?

Re: Window manager theme vs GTK theme

Yes that is correct.

As for themes, you can try searching Openbox themes (box-look.org) and maybe the author also made a GTK to match. Or search for the theme name and maybe someone else made a matching theme.

For example I use the Shiki-Brave Murrine theme by perfectska04 and the Brave-Dark Openbox theme by envyouraudience.

Thanks :~)
Where do you find the GTK themes?
Is there a site like box-look for GTK?

Re: Window manager theme vs GTK theme

gnome-look.org has a section for GTK themes:

Ah yes, thank you - plenty to work on there.
