Topic: thanks from an Asus 1000 40G user!

fyi:

cruncheee-8.10.02.i386 is working great on my Asus 1000 40G... sound, wifi came right up!

i burned the 474MB .iso to CD then booted off a Samsung SE-S084 external USB DVD/+R/W drive (only USB powered - w00t!)

kudos to the developers for putting this together... sound, wifi, shutdown all good!

you have made me a very happy Linux-based OS user (been using Linux since '93, btw - anyone remember Yggdrasil?)

W007 indeed!!!  That's quite a product endorsement.  A lot of USB-powered optical drives can't burn properly - at least, I was completely unable to burn a data CD with Dellbuntu 8.04 on an iomagic slimline drive.
