^ Maisel's Weisse - Das Bier auf seine schoenste Weisse big_smile

I miss Berliner Weisse here ... I know it doesn't qualify as beer, but most of the year it is really hot here, and I am fed up of drinking the same sodas every day.

Let's all get forked.

Re: What beer are you drinking?

Bellheimer Lord, really good, mid-priced, local beer.

In general I prefer Pils and darker beers over "Weizen"/White Beer (is this even a word o0)

Oh and Beck's sucks tongue

Re: What beer are you drinking?

^ Looks like a good Pils.

Re: What beer are you drinking?

There's a tapas bar round the corner from here that stocks a Spanish beer called Voll Damm (I think). A very strong (~8%) darkish beer that almost tastes like a Belgian monastery brew. Nice.

Voll Damm, I remember that stuff from Barcelona. My English Roommates loved that stuff.. I prefer normal beer, though.

Yeah, that is one of the Estrellas, but I find that one too sweet for my taste.

Well, Ivan is the most common name for Balkan drug dealers and mafia personnel, after all lol

If he moved to America, they'd probably make a Grand Theft Auto game based on him.

So...Ivan is the Russian equivalent of Fat Tony? hmm tongue

Around here, we typically associate Ivan with a Cape Verde hurricane that rearranged the Gulf Coast a few years ago.

Re: What beer are you drinking?

^Yours is "Ai-Van", not "Eee-Vahn" .... different tongue

But yes, sort of a Fat Tony, unless of course his surname is Drago, in which case he's probably Dolph Lundgren trying to relive past glory.

I had completely forgotten about Dolph; at first I thought you were referring to Todd Rundgren. roll  (The way things went at Ellis Island when Todd's parents would have come ashore, it's quite likely they're related...better stop there before I go waaay off-tangent.)

Re: What beer are you drinking?

I must say that I've got a sentimental spot in my gut for Yuengling.   The Church I was married in is right next door to the brewery.

Re: What beer are you drinking?

This is a grand sort of thread, will be reading the whole thing later and hope to find some to try down here.
Favorite beers here would be Moylan's Kilt Lifter, George Killians(its called an Irish red but not sure how true it is to that) and  when I'm feeling cheap at a big public event I go with *wretch* Miller Light because its cheap so I can share and it gets the job done. And every now and then some Heineken, used to be all I would drink but now it's just a backup hmm

Re: What beer are you drinking?

Guys, I've got a favor to ask:  I can't drink any more so I'll need someone to drink one for me tonight.  Any volunteers?  wink

Sam Adams ftw tonight... Haven't had the regular Boston Lager for a while now.

Re: What beer are you drinking?

Now -  Canadian Molson - inexpensive with some beer flavor and a kick - I like variety but Yuengling just does not seem the same since they went to big distribution.

Right now it is a nordic German beer, Jever, Friesisch herb. smile

I really like a good fresh batch of home brew - dreaming of a nice Heffewizen batch
