Topic: can't change highlight color <solved>

I have crunchbang installed on two computers.  One is the 32 bit 9.04 cd version and the other is a minimal install of Ubuntu 9.10 with the crunchbang script.  On both computers I'm having a problem with not being able to change the highlight color.  When I select text in Firefox, any text editor, Synaptic, or any other program except for things like terminal emulators it's blue.

I've used obconf to select the theme Real Milk, and it displays the correct gray highlighting in the openbox menu, but everywhere else when I roll over something that highlights or I select some text it's always a light blue.  I'm sick of blue.  Is there a way to force all programs to use openbox highlighting methods or is there some other option buried in some hidden configuration file that I need to change somewhere?

Thanks.

Re: can't change highlight color <solved>

The highlighting is controlled by your gtk theme.

Openbox menu > Preferences > User Interface Settings

Re: can't change highlight color <solved>

I went to the User Interface settings and selected a similarly colored theme that had a gray highlight.  I hit apply and it worked.

Thanks.
