Why don't you introduce to both distros tint2 as a replace to old school looking fluxbox panel?
There isn't any linux distro with fluxbox without fluxbox panel
TotaLinux or DreamLinux could be the first!
Tota Linux already has that on the Fluxbox desktop. It is something I have also implemented on the Tota Fluxbox Edition. Tint2 was something that Crunchbang introduced me to, and I am using it on all my Fluxbox desktops at the moment.
The point with my Fluxbox desktops is the use of light applications such as Xfe as a file browser and other similar apps which Crunchbang also uses. I think the beauty of Crunchbang is it's implementation of OpenBox along with the apps it uses. If I were to create a FluxBang, it would have different apps and therefor no longer be Crunchbang, if you see what I mean.
Also, if you had Fluxbox but with the same Crunchbang apps, it would be more or less the same as using OpenBox as they are very similar with regards to the right-click menu and editing of files to configure them etc.
If any body is interested in trying out Fluxbox, I could by all means provide a ready made set of menus and startup scripts which could be dropped into the .fluxbox directory.
That way you could just install Fluxbox, then have preprepared FluxBang. It could be used as a template ready-made for personal customization.
