Topic: Alpha Install Thread

Again, trying to keep some load off of the alpha thread, and make things easier for people to find help -- I'll admit I've TLDR'd the alpha thread for about 5 pages...so this is for any issues/solutions-to-issues for the install process of the alpha

thanks for the usb tip!

I had the problem it would be stuck when I wanted to install from cd at boot. So when you get the menu I selected "Text install"  and hit enter, but it would do totally nothing, it just froze. Live mode just worked, but you can't install live. Tried usbdrive install: didn't work because of missing cd (now I know why). So, I burnt the cd again at a lower rate and it worked.. Hope this helps someone else who's stuck smile

i'm running into a really weird "stall" problem, after installing #! 10a to a USB drive.
installing worked pretty good, unplugged harddrive n all so grub seems happy too, locates everything when booting,

then it just stops, the last error message I see is something like

"sdb assuming drive write though"

edit: seems like the LVM issue again, removed and it was fine now. reference to other thread where LVM caused problems too.
