Topic: Do i need Nvidia?

I have got sound, i have got video, i have the resolution, and apart from a "Alsa will not touch mixer" (or something like that) warning at boot, i don't see the need for Nvidia-ing with the ppa and all. Am i missing something?
And yes, it's #! Statler xfce.:D

i dunno, hows the 3d support? (and do you need 3d support)
Other then that, your good. And the alsa will not touch line seems nothing to worry about.

Blender works too! It never even opened in previous versions till i had Nvidia installed. So i have 3D support too, right?

Sounds like your needs are already met. If you decide to install it, Debian/Statler doesn't use a PPA for Nvidia.
