Topic: Java doesn't work in #! Statler 10 [SOLVED]

Hey all,

I just installed Statler, mainly for all of the updated packages. Anyway, when I installed Java from the repos, everything went fine. Then I tried using a java-based application, only to get an error message, which opened up a console, which said nothing. So I installed Java from their site. Same thing happens. Then I uninstalled the repository version of Java, and the same thing still happens.  For the libjavaplugin_oji.so, I put that in /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins. What could possibly be going wrong here?

This is true for me as well, it doens't matter if I use Sun java or openjre, firefox iceweasel chrome or midori ;P

Hey Steen,

thanks for the help. Unfortunately, sircrazy in the #crunchbang channel already solved this for me, by using the same command. Thanks for the help anyway though.
