Topic: CB 9.04 on my netbook.

Hey everyone, I've reverted back to using CB9.04 on my netbook. Just wondering, by doing the "System Update" function in the menu this ensures that my system is completely up to date right? I looked at everything though, and it says that 13 packages/things are not upgraded. Is there any reason why they are being "held back" (according to the terminal)? Also, is the CB9.04 update manager smart enough to not upgrade itself to Ubuntu 9.10 or any future releases? Just trying to make sure nothing happens.

IIRC, the update script uses 'apt-get upgrade' instead of 'apt-get dist-upgrade' so if you do 'sudo apt-get dist-upgrade' you will get those 13 packages, which probably include some kind of kernel upgrade.

You will not get 9.10. smile
