Topic: Cooler with Sid
No -- I don't mean cooler like
I mean cooler like conky's internal temperature reading.
It took a few days for me to notice because most of the time my desktop is covered by the screen(s) on this small device but since switching to the sid repositories it's noticable and it's consistent: whereas prior to sid, prior to CrunchBang even, the internal temperature was invariably 54+ degrees C, which is good.* It's now a fairly steady 52 degrees C. That's not a significant reduction, but it's enough to impress me. ![]()
So I have a question: does your computer, regardless of what make or model run cooler with CrunchBang, or especially sid if that's what you've chosen. I'd be interested to know if someone else, anyone else has noticed this.
* [My device according to acpi isn't critical until 90 degrees C] and that's hot! ![]()
