I know it's a fairly random post but just wanted to say that after vista and KDE4 it's really refreshing to find
a distro' so light on resources.

I'm triple booting vista/openSUSE/crunchbang and absolutely loving statler!
Still finding my way around a little but I think I may have found my new default distro'. smile

Cheers

Re: System requirements

It's amazing what a "light-weight" desktop can do when it isn't installed over a "heavy" desktop.

Either Xfce or Openbox in #!Crunchbang ... is not installed over Gnome, as in Xubuntu/Mint and such distros.

Xfce runs as it should and was meant to be ... light and fast.

corenominal did an 'outstanding' job in the development of #!
