All I can do to follow a story like that is to quote the late, great, Douglas Adams...
He had found a Nutri-Matic machine which had provided him with a plastic cup filled with a liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea. tongue

Yea, but at least he had it towel!  {sigh}

I had some coffee in Easter Texas, Lufkin area, where you have trees and water smile Never made it to Austin, they do have that good music PBS TV show "Austin City Limits" it's been on for years - Texas is very big tongue

Texas big! That's only propaganda!!

USA:
Texas: 268,581 sq mi (696,241 km2)

Canada:
B.C.: 364,764 sq mi (944,735 km2)
Ontario: 415,598 sq mi (1,076,395 km2)
Quebec: 595,391 sq mi (1,542,056 km2)

Now, having said that I haven't met a Texan I didn't like. And I've met a few.  big_smile
Met lots of Canucks I don't care for though!  Doesn't bother me, they didn't like me either.

Travelled quite a bit in the States, all the northern states that border with Canada and down the eastern seaboard to Florida and up the mid eastern states, there are two states that I'm sorry I never made it to, Texas and Alaska.

I recall as a kid at the Calgary Stampede meeting this tall "beautiful" cowgirl, and when she spoke, I melted - that beautiful Texan accent! I think she was my first love!  I must have been 8 or 9 but when I was in my 30's I met another "Texan cowgirl" the memory came rushing back!  Now if all Texan women are like those two ... {sigh}

Re: Coffee is a food group

I have a new girlfriend . . .

When I went to first visit her, at home ... I saw that she brews her own coffee.

Not in a normal model drip-coffeemaker ... but in an Electric Percolator.

She actually brews coffee.  And she's very picky about what kind of coffee goes into her coffee-pot.

She's a keeper !!  big_smile

Have not had a beer in over 26 years (or any alcohol) so I wouldn't know, but I drank Labatts 50, Molsons Export or Brador back then.

Pick one: Canadian Beer Fridge, looks like there might be a MooseHead in there.  That's a good one too!
