Topic: Helllo All

Hello All

My name is Patrick, I am currently going to college for network management.

I have Crunchbang Linux installed on my Acer Aspire One, and Linux Mint on my Desktop.

So far I love them both.

Once we get #! on that desktop, you will fully there!

PS: just j/k. I have never been a fan of Mint.

Re: Helllo All

Hey all, I would like to learn as much about Linux as I can, I am taking Linux Adminstration classes. But would like to learn more, does any of you know any good places to learn linux commands and the such.

Re: Helllo All

Bash tongue
Nah, just use Linux often, and you'll find yourself learning the commands eventually.

Also, I remember a wallpaper floating around in the forums somewhere that listed a good amount of commands...

Re: Helllo All

Hey Patrick,

There's a metric ton of places on the Net to learn more.  A few that were helpful to me:

http://www.linux.org
http://www.linuxreality.com (podcast - start at the beginning if you're new)

Re: Helllo All

A nice bunch of tutorials on the command line can be found at http://linuxcommand.org/

Hope you might find that useful!

Hi.  Nice to see you back here again.
