Re: August 2010 Screenshot Thread
Any chance you can link the full pictures?
I'm lazy, maybe later.

OK, I goofed, I'll try this again.
A couple of days ago I posted my one and only August screenshot, with an unfinished wallpaper. Well I came back to show the completed work, had the post all done and got distracted and hit [x] before [Submit reply].
<<-- laughing at self.
So I went looking for the images, and since I lost the handy dandy thumbnail links here's links to the full size images, obviously I will not show the full images.:
1. My screenshot: http://omploader.org/vNWRteQ
2. I used "starmap.jpg" (2500x1250) - http://omploader.org/vNWRuOA - to make the back ground, blanking out the bottom half to give a horizon affect, then I added
3. the moon with a tree, a couple of people (?) and a plane - http://omploader.org/vNWRuNA/moon.png
I then did a search on the net for black and white silhouettes of trees and cities, yea, the cities are really there and added those.
So if you like it, make your own.
September is coming and I'm working on a coffee wallpaper - but I'm stumped, I need the "#" symbol made from coffee beans and can not find one. I have the ! just not the # ![]()
Here are my freshly uploaded screenshots:

I like it, looks really clean
are you joking?
^ It looks good to me...in a basic Debian default kind of way. Nothing wrong with that!
Yes, clean in a unmodified kind-of way.
It's got a vintage vibe to it I can get behind.
thats got to be the weirdest skin i've ever seen ![]()
Where should I put Conky? I was thinking a horizontal one might look nice but then I thought a small square would be good too...

How about where you see the blue!
makes it background specific ... but ... nice ![]()

I really can only feel at comfortable in very dark, blue-ish environments, so I've reverted back to an older setup (with some tweaks).
Don't really feel like theming this fella anymore, so I think I'll just go back to the netbook for future theme projects.
Really nice.
Great work @wiscot, simply a beautiful desktop, wonderful colour integration. And your first post, so... welcome!
I view KDE like I view snow. It looks fun and marvelous, it's fun to play in, but after a while I just want someone to take it all away.
+1 Couldn't have said this better myself.

The only problem I had with KDE was that the only time it looked nice was in openSUSE 11.2 (at least, IMHO), and that constantly crashed (at least, it did for me).
This is probably one of the stranger things to be asked in this forum but....
Would anyone mind helping me put together a desktop setup that would suit the song "Drive" by The Cars?
EDIT: Sorry about the double-post.

^ That doesn't even crack the Top Ten List of strange things asked on this forum.
What kind of artwork will be on the desktop? I know it predates "Drive" by several years, but I've always liked the Olivia artwork from the Candy-O cover.

Thank you very much

copying gutterslob
There is no shame in copying a master! Especially if you give credit where it is due.
And his theming is the work of a master.
