Looks like it could be a very good tool (much like tintwizard is for tint2).

Seems promising and I might definitely give it ago, though I like configuring my .conkyrc (and tint2rc for that matter) manually. I enjoy that more
That's a pretty cool tool. Thanks for the link! I keep my conky minimal nowadays but it would be a great way to build a base.
yea, it seems like a quick way to get something nice.
Conky, the amazingly versatile and useful Linux desktop application, has a bit of a reputation.
It’s clearly a great App, but getting it configured can be a serious pain.
Changing anything about it has always required digging through a long text file and editing cryptic lines like ${offset 240}${time %a, } ${color }${time %e %B %G}.
As many people don’t have the patience to dig through manuals to find out what all that means, Conky’s popularity has been somewhat limited.
Lucky for us, there’s now an easier way to configure it. A MUCH easier way – ConkyWizard.
ConkyWizard would be good for starters but it seems to really limit what you can do. I'd be curious to try it out anyway. Maybe after I install Statler Alpha 2.
Exactly vrkalak (man thats hard to type
) , and even if the programs somewhat limited now, i'm sure features will be added to it.
Sounds like the thing to learn conky. I actually like the way of learning things by first having them done by a gui and then digging into it myself. i'm doing/trying this with some other things to:
lyx -> latex
gvim -> vim
xubuntu(last year) -> linux / bash / #! ![]()
thanks for sharing
