Topic: Just installed crunchbang, need some help. [SOLVED]

Hi, i just installed crunchbang on my laptop today and i'm having some problems,
First, when i try to use sudo in the terminal for anything it says that i'm not on the "sudoers list". i also can't use stuff like the package manager(it says "The underlying authorization mechanism (sudo) does not allow you to run this program. Contact the system administrator")
this worked fine on the live usb before i installed crunchbang on my HD. also, i when i plug in my external hard drive it says
"mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,
       missing codepage or helper program, or other error
       In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so."
this also used to work fine in the live usb before i installed. what should i do?

I managed to fix the sudo problem with help from some people in #crunchbang but i just can't figure out how to get my external hard drive to work. how come it worked fine when i was running crunchbang on the live usb?

Not sure exactly, i had to comment out some line in /etc/fstab, i just followed instructions from #crunchbang
