Topic: 9.04 vs. Statler

Hey guys ... so for those of you have used both, is there a major difference in instability between 9.04 and Statler?  I am thinking about switching on one or more of my computers, if there are any major advantages of Statler over 9.04.  I have had an almost 100% stable 9.04 running for a while now, so I am pretty happy with it.  The temptation to use something new though, is huge, and I am into the idea of using Xfce in #!. Thanks :-)

Re: 9.04 vs. Statler

A good (and frequently asked) question!

You should start by reading the Statler Known Issues thread:

http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic … wn-issues/

And the Debian Squeeze bug tracker:

http://bugs.debian.org/release-critical/

But the best advice I can give is, try a Live CD, see if you like it! You can always keep your 9.04 install as a fallback and dual-boot. smile

Thank you for those threads!  Sorry to ask again such a frequent question.  I will create a live USB with Unetbootin and give it a try for a few days.
