Topic: [Solved] Tint2 question

I'm experimenting with some new desktop layouts and on one of them I'd like to have tint2 on the left. This works, but my system tray now is on top and I'd like to have it on the bottom.

Re: [Solved] Tint2 question

Have you been using tint2conf in terminal to do this?  If not type that command in your terminal,
and a box called Panel Theming pops up; click the Properties icon; then I suppose you'd click System Tray and configure the x and y axis -- I'm just learning this myself...  neutral

EDIT - answer works in Statler 10

Re: [Solved] Tint2 question

I don't think it's possible with just tint2.
You could disable tint2's systray and install stalonetray to put the systray wherever you like....
Tuna.

I'm not on Statler, I'm on Ubuntu. What's this piece of software called? apt-get install tint2conf doesn't work, but I'd like to have it!

Can you move the systemtray to a different position in the panel? I can't find this option...

Re: [Solved] Tint2 question

Unia, it's default on Statler.  EDIT - I saw your signature -- how did I miss it??  wink

Hello, Tunafishsmile  Hm.  There's not an option like an icon or button to click, but I'm looking to see if it can be moved.

Do you mean it's on the top of your windows and you want it underneath them or it's at the  top of the  screen and you want it at the bottom??

EDIT - see above

Re: [Solved] Tint2 question

Oh.  What tint2 calls the system tray is what is also called the notification tray, correct?

lol Hahaha... this thread gets more and more confusing.... shall we start over again? Unia, what's your question?

Re: [Solved] Tint2 question

Well, if you take a look at the screenshot on my first post in this topic, you see my tint2 on the left. All the way up you see my system tray / notification area and I'd like to have that at the bottom of tint2. Does that make things more clear?

Re: [Solved] Tint2 question

That's what I thought you meant.  As far as I know, you can't move the system tray in tint2.

while ( ! ( succeed = try() ) );
