How to install xampp or lamp or .. other Local web service?

Also, if you're using Crunchbang Statler alpha2 there's a script you can run in a terminal 'cb-welcome'. That offers to install all kinds of stuff, just skip what you don't want and choose the lamp bit.

It's very easy that way, but you'd learn more by using the Debian wiki article... smile
