Topic: Wireless diagnostics
So I'm fairly inexperienced with linux systems and I'm having issues with getting wicd to discover wireless networks, so I'm wondering what some good diagnostic approaches are. Thanks.

So I'm fairly inexperienced with linux systems and I'm having issues with getting wicd to discover wireless networks, so I'm wondering what some good diagnostic approaches are. Thanks.
Can you give us some details like what computer, what wireless chip etc..
And have you tried connecting with normal network-manager
So I guess it was a problem with the router broadcasting and not my compy. I'd still be interested to know general diagnostic tools. Maybe like a way to get error information and such.
