Topic: What is valid upgrade procedures for crunchbanglinux 8.10 ?

Hello,

I started using crunchbanglinux with version 8.10.

I always used system-update script for updates.
Recently I found out that there are no more update available with it.

So I installed update-manager an update with it to 9.04

My question are:
1. With upgrade to 9.04 with  update-manager did I installed Ubuntu , and I am not on crunchbanglinux anymore ?
2. If so what was the proper procedure for upgrade from crunchbanglinux 8.10 ?
3. What should I do now regarding updates ?

Re: What is valid upgrade procedures for crunchbanglinux 8.10 ?

If I were you I'd do a new, clean install of Crunchbang Statler 10. Even if you succeed on upgrading to 9.04, this version is based on Ubuntu 9.04 and thus reaches its end of line pretty soon (that means no more security updates and no more support)
