Topic: installation with a wireless keyboard?

greetings!  i am trying to install crunchbang 10 openbox on my desktop computer.  i boot up the cd and select the install option listed on the boot menu.  the blue screen then loads, displaying the language selection.  from this point forward, i cannot select a language and the installation does not respond to my pressing "enter" in order to install using the default "english" selection.  is it my keyboard?  i seem to have no problem booting into my system's bios and i am able to select an option on the boot menu.  the keyboard also works just fine in the live cd mode.  what is the problem?  am i missing something?

THANKS!

Re: installation with a wireless keyboard?

It probably is the keyboard. Try a USB one.

Re: installation with a wireless keyboard?

I have a Acer PC but I use an Apple/Mac keyboard . . . it works for everything except for installing Debian.

Seems that the Debian 'test' installer doesn't recognize a Mac keyboard on an Acer PC.

I just switched out the keyboards long enough to do the install, then went back to the Mac keyboard.  Not had a problem otherwise.

Re: installation with a wireless keyboard?

To wit, I have also had the same problem with the text install not recognizing my wireless Logitech keyboard.

...But I'm ever so squeezable!

Re: installation with a wireless keyboard?

I've had this with a few distros.  The initial part of the installation allows the use of wireless keyboard and mouse, however upon reaching the login screen, stops working.

I got round this by installing Statler (1) and then doing apt-get dist-upgrade.  I'd be keen to know why this happens though...

Identical problem with a Logitech S520 wireless keyboard. Curses!
