Topic: How to change dropdown menu background?

Hi,

I changed my theme with the openbox GUI config tool, but drop down menus in firefox and other guis stay the same, black background and ugly (not to mention hard to see).

I also reconfigured, restarted, and then rebooted to see if that would change it, but no dice.

I tried multiple themes to so...

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Re: How to change dropdown menu background?

menus (apart from the right click menu) are covered in the gtk configs, lxappearance deals with the gtk stuff ('preferences -> User interface settings' on my menu).

Re: How to change dropdown menu background?

Much better! Thank you! Is there a way to change the theme itself?

Re: How to change dropdown menu background?

Just edit this file:

/usr/share/themes/NAME/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

Just replace NAME with the theme name you want to edit.

If you're not familiar with editing GTK themes, you can take a look at the default CrunchBang themes. Philip comments his themes quite well.
