Topic: How to install software in UBUNTU?

Recently I install ubuntu software on my other computer… well the problem has been when I have try to install some software on the ubuntu computer, the software come up on the screen and suddenly shutdown the PC. I am not very good for use ubuntu. Any help I would be very grateful!

I think this is too little info to actually help you.
If you have questions about ubuntu you would probaply be better asking at the ubuntu forums.
if you can tell us:

  • what operating system you use (distribution, version ...)

  • what you tried to install the software

  • what went wrong

maybe someone might be able to help you

Try using the terminal to install software.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get programname
