Topic: Script available for Minimal Ubuntu to Crunchify?

I'm still using the old 9.04 version of Crunchbang and I love it. The software is getting really outdated though! I don't want to use an alpha software on my computer and I do like the Ubuntu base...I seem to remember I used a 9.10 update script on a minimal CD, is there one like that for 10.10?

Re: Script available for Minimal Ubuntu to Crunchify?

In short no but you could take a look at on old one and adapt it for use with 10.10. Keep in mind you won't get CrunchBang this way. What you'll get is an ubuntu install with minimal packages although you may find that the ubuntu packages will now pull in more than you bargained for. More packages now have full the ubuntu desktop as a dependency and will pull that in during the install. It's one of the reasons CrunchBang moved to Debian as a base.
