Hi! Returning newbie here.

Somewhat new to #! -- used it about a year ago, got all my laptops buttons (volume, mute, etc.) and drivers working after many hours. Got busy with school and never figured out how to get the battery life optimized / laptop didnt sleep when closing it.
Found some more recent posts dealing with battery issues on my laptop so now im hoping to get back into it.

Re: Hi! Returning newbie here.

There is a whole thread on x220 power savings:

http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=269219

There is also this, from the good el_koraco:

TLP and Hardran's power saving script work a treat too. Yes, I'm going to say it again: my baseline power is 3.6w (x121e). See if you can beat me.
