[SOLVED] Thunderbird Confusion

At work, and I've finally decided to move from Statler to Waldorf.  I prefer to use Thunderbird over Icedove as it's more up to date, but I can't seem to launch the damn thing.

I downloaded the taz.bz2 file from the mozilla website, extracted to my /home/user/ and previously I'm sure I used to use a shell script to launch it, such as below:

#!/bin/bash
../thunderbird/thunderbird

Trouble is I get 'No file or directory'.

I know this has worked in the past but am I missing something?

Re: [SOLVED] Thunderbird Confusion

Yeah tried that.

I know it's fine on my home Waldorf install, but the trouble is I've forgotten my ip, otherwise I'd ssh in.

Re: [SOLVED] Thunderbird Confusion

Found out what was wrong.  I was using the GUI to 'Extract Here' when I should've done a sudo tar xjf.

Hurrah!
